Starting today, Amazon Echo Show users can access a full shopping experience on their devices, enhancing how they interact with the online marketplace. This rollout includes the Echo Show 15 and 21, with plans to expand to additional models in the future.
The upgraded interface mimics the look and feel of Amazon's website, allowing users to browse products, view images, and read reviews directly on their screens. Previously, limited browsing was available, but now customers can also change payment methods and delivery addresses through the Echo Show.
This new feature is part of Amazon's integration of Alexa+, an enhanced version of its virtual assistant, which utilizes generative AI for improved natural language comprehension. Access to Alexa+ will require a subscription of $20 per month, though Prime members receive the upgrade for free. Users can start shopping by tapping the Amazon Shopping app or using voice commands to ask Alexa for specific items.
