The upcoming gala for holders of the TRUMP memecoin is set for April 25 at Mar-a-Lago, featuring Donald Trump as the keynote speaker. This event is exclusive to the top 297 holders of the token, with the leading 29 holders receiving an invitation to a private reception with the president. Earlier in the month, uncertainty surrounded Trump’s attendance, as the White House previously indicated it was not confirmed on his schedule.
Despite this, the White House has now affirmed Trump's participation in the event, following a report by Reuters. The gala coincides with the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, where Trump is also expected to appear. Concerns regarding the event have been raised by Democratic senators, who criticized the potential conflict of interest and questioned the implications of offering access to Trump in exchange for purchases of the memecoin.
Additionally, the event's terms state that Trump’s attendance could be subject to cancellation for any reason, which has fueled further debate among lawmakers. This marks the second gathering for TRUMP token holders, following a previous event in May 2025 that faced scrutiny over Trump's financial interests related to his presidential role.
