Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo will co-lead a new venture between OKX, a cryptocurrency exchange, and the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), pending regulatory approvals. This initiative aims to develop infrastructure for tokenized and digitally native financial products.
Announced on June 22, 2026, the joint project will provide OKX users access to ICE futures and NYSE tokenized equity markets. Cuomo, who began collaborating with OKX in 2023, has been less visible in the public sphere since his unsuccessful bid for New York City mayor in 2025.
That campaign included a vision of making the city a leading center for cryptocurrency, supported by the Innovate NY political action committee. His defeat came with Zohran Mamdani winning over 50% of the vote.
This announcement follows a previous partnership in March, where ICE invested an undisclosed amount in OKX, valuing the exchange at $25 billion. Additionally, ICE has committed $2 billion to the prediction markets platform Polymarket.
