Two individuals have been arrested in connection with a reported shooting incident targeting the residence of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman in the Russian Hill area of San Francisco. The arrests occurred after police responded to a report of possible gunfire at approximately 5:56 AM ET on Sunday, April 12. Officers from the Special Investigation Division took over the case, detaining Amanda Tom, 25, and Muhamad Tarik Hussein, 23, and seizing three firearms under a search warrant.
According to the police report, two individuals in a Honda sedan stopped outside Altman's property, where one of them allegedly fired at the residence, prompting security personnel to report a gunshot. Surveillance footage captured the incident. This shooting follows a prior event where a 20-year-old man reportedly threw a Molotov cocktail at Altman's home, resulting in a fire at one of the gates, but no injuries were reported in either occurrence.
