Organizations are increasingly facing cybersecurity risks, with non-human identities outnumbering human ones by approximately 82:1. Quest Software has introduced the Quest Security Management Platform, a groundbreaking solution that integrates Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) with migration services tailored for Microsoft environments. This platform aims to enhance visibility into identity threats and improve disaster recovery processes.
Launched on April 14, 2026, the platform combines two critical components: Quest Identity Defense and Quest Identity Recovery. Quest Identity Defense is an AI-driven tool designed to monitor both Active Directory and Entra ID, effectively managing identity risks and blocking unauthorized changes. Meanwhile, Quest Identity Recovery offers rapid restoration of identity services, with recovery times claimed to be up to 90 percent faster after ransomware attacks.
As organizations navigate complex hybrid infrastructures and the growing threat landscape, more than 75 percent of companies are reportedly not testing their identity recovery capabilities regularly, leaving them vulnerable to prolonged downtimes. Michael Laudon, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Quest Software, highlighted that comprehensive identity security must encompass swift recovery, not just detection and response, particularly during critical changes like migrations.
