Version 10.0 of One Identity's Identity Manager software has been launched, featuring significant advancements aimed at bolstering identity governance and automating responses to security incidents related to identity. This update enhances management of access rights, approval processes, and compliance auditing.
The new release introduces capabilities such as risk-based governance, identity threat detection and response, and AI-assisted reporting. Notably, it can now incorporate user risk scores from third-party analytics tools into its governance workflows, improving security measures. Automated playbooks for identity threat detection allow for actions like disabling accounts and flagging security incidents.
As cyber threats such as credential compromise and phishing become more prevalent, this release addresses the need for more robust automated containment strategies. Praerit Garg, CEO of One Identity, emphasized the importance of this upgrade in strengthening identity governance, which is essential for enterprise security.
The update also presents a redesigned browser-based interface that enables full administrative access without requiring desktop installation. Additionally, it includes AI-assisted reporting, allowing users to query identity data in natural language, thereby simplifying audits and compliance checks. Compatibility with security information and event management (SIEM) systems further enhances its utility in security monitoring and incident response.
