Google announced it has taken action against a hacking group known as UNC2814, also referred to as “Gallium,” which has infiltrated at least 53 organizations in 42 countries. This group has been active for nearly a decade, primarily targeting government entities and telecommunications firms.
The company's findings were disclosed exclusively to Reuters on Wednesday, highlighting the ongoing challenges in cybersecurity posed by this group. The breach of numerous organizations underscores the persistent threat of cyber warfare, particularly from state-linked actors.
As cyber threats continue to evolve, efforts to combat such intrusions remain critical for governments and businesses worldwide.
