Launching in May 2026, the initiative Her CyberTracks aims to tackle the gender gap in cybersecurity, where women currently make up only approximately 24% of the workforce. Funded by the German Federal Foreign Office, the European Union, and Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this program will run until October 2026, targeting women in the public sector and critical infrastructure across regions such as Africa, the Western Balkans, and the Indo-Pacific.
Participants will engage in specialized training across four distinct CyberTracks: Policy & Diplomacy, Incident Response, Criminal Justice, and Cybersecurity & Artificial Intelligence. These tracks are designed to empower women through a comprehensive curriculum that includes expert-led training sessions, mentorship opportunities, and networking events, fostering both technical and soft skills essential for careers in cybersecurity.
The program's core pillars—TRAIN, MENTOR, INSPIRE, and NETWORK—are strategically developed to promote professional growth and build a supportive community. Each CyberTrack offers tailored content, with the Policy & Diplomacy track focusing on shaping national and international policies, while the Incident Response track equips participants with foundational technical skills. The Criminal Justice track supports law enforcement professionals, and the Cybersecurity & AI track merges cybersecurity and artificial intelligence knowledge for those interested in this emerging intersection.
