Dell Technologies has announced a new suite of innovations aimed at enhancing security against emerging threats from artificial intelligence and quantum computing. The latest capabilities focus on improving foundational device security, threat detection in complex environments, and recovery during cyber incidents.
To address vulnerabilities linked to quantum computing, Dell is introducing quantum-ready protections in its commercial PCs. This includes enhanced firmware-level security with new embedded controller safeguards that utilize advanced cryptographic signatures. An upgraded BIOS verification feature will check system integrity against a trusted cloud reference, helping to detect tampering early and mitigate supply chain risks.
In addition to prevention, Dell is enhancing recovery solutions within its PowerProtect portfolio, including updates to PowerProtect Data Manager, which now features an AI-powered assistant for faster recovery responses. Enhanced anomaly detection capabilities will also help identify ransomware threats, while improved backup and restore speeds in the DD3410 appliance will enable quicker resumption of operations.
Furthermore, Dell is expanding its Managed Detection and Response services to encompass environments with unstructured data, ensuring comprehensive protection in the evolving landscape of cybersecurity.
