Australia Post has partnered with AI security firm Alpha Level to improve its cybersecurity measures across licensed post offices and affiliated small businesses. The initiative aims to enhance the detection of cyber threats through advanced machine learning techniques.
With an estimated four billion data points generated monthly, the collaboration will enable Australia Post’s security team to analyze vast amounts of network traffic and security logs. Chief Information Security Officer Adam Cartwright highlighted that the use of machine learning allows for quicker identification of potential threats, thereby strengthening overall security.
Dr. Josh Neil, co-founder of Alpha Level, emphasized the goal of implementing machine learning at scale to improve cyber defense capabilities. The technology will specifically focus on filtering through security alerts to isolate more significant threats, allowing analysts to prioritize critical issues effectively.
